The HSE have urged Irish People to applu for their free European Health Insurance Card before travelling on holidays this summer.
The European Health Insurance Card(EHIC) replaces the old E111 form and allows you to get healthcare in another EU or European Economic Area(EEA) state for free, or at a reduced cost.
The card will cover you during holidays and any stays lasting less than three months.
There is no charge to apply for the card, however you need one for each member of the family.
You can apply online, just visit www2.hse.ie/services/ehic/ehic.html or visit your Local Health Office
